How many calories are there in Hermesetas?
In spite of their sweetening strength, the various types of Hermesetas have either an extremely low nutritive value (calorie count) or no calories at all.
The sweeteners Saccharin and Acesulfame-K are organic compounds that taste sweet but contain no calories at all. Saccharin is about 450 times sweeter than the comparable amount of sugar and Acesulfame-K around 200 times sweeter. These sweeteners are excreted from the body unused and unchanged.
This means that Hermesetas Original is calorie-free.
The sweetener Aspartame is made of a combination of two amino acids, L-aspartic acid and L-phenylalanine, and is ingested and broken down by the body in the same way as protein. One gram of Aspartame contains four calories. However, since Aspartame is 200 times sweeter than the comparable amount of sugar, these calories are negligible.
This means that Hermesetas Gold has almost no calories. Further information under Nutrition Information.
