Makes 8
1 quantity basic dough
100 g (3 oz) carton light cream cheese
2–3 tbsp Hermesetas Granulated
Grated rind of 1 lemon
8 plums, stoned and cut into thin wedges
1 egg, beaten
Preheat the oven to 200º C (400º F, Gas Mark 6). Roll out the dough to make a 50x25 cm (20x10 in) rectangle and cut into 8 equal squares.
Beat the cream cheese and 2 tbsp Hermesetas Granulated together with the grated lemon rind.
Make four cuts, one from each corner of the pastry square, almost to the centre. Put a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture on the uncut centre and scatter some plum wedges over. Fold each point into the centre, over the cream cheese and plum, so they overlap slightly. Repeat with all pastry squares. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with the remaining Hermesetas Granulated if liked.
Allow to rise for 15 minutes before cooking for 12–15 minutes, until risen and golden brown. Serve warm.
