What is Hermesetas?

Hermesetas Tablets, Hermesetas Gold, Hermesetas Liquide and Hermesetas Granulated Sweetener with Fructofibres® are high-quality table top sweeteners that taste like sugar but have either no calories or practically no calories. Thanks to this, Hermesetas can help you keep a balanced diet, a slim figure and healthy teeth.

In what form is Hermesetas available?

Hermesetas Tablets, based on Saccharin, is still rated by many as the best sweetener on the market.

Hermesetas Gold, which is based on a blend of Aspartame and Acesulfame-K, is for those who like a 'modern', refined sweetness.

Hermesetas tablets are suitable mainly for sweetening tea and coffee and other hot drinks. Hermesetas Tablets and Hermesetas Gold are available in pocket-size dispensers, table top dispensers and refill packs.

Hermesetas Granulated Sweetener with Fructofibres® is spoon for spoon as sweet as sugar, yet contains only 10% of the calories. It is suitable for cooking and baking or for sprinkling on fruit and breakfast cereal.

Hermesetas Liquid Sweetener is ten times sweeter than sugar. It is ideal for hot and cold drinks, desserts and for cooking and baking. Dishes sweetened with Hermesetas Liquid can be frozen or heated in the microwave without affecting the flavour.

What is the difference between Hermesetas Gold and Hermesetas Tablets?

All our products have almost no calories or no calories at all and are suitable for people with diabetes. The difference lies in the taste and the sweetening strength. This means customers can choose the product best suited to their individual taste.

Hermesetas Gold contains a blend of Aspartame and Acesulfame-K, a very popular sweetener because its taste is so similar to sugar.

Hermesetas Tablets contains Saccharin and is appreciated by many consumers for its clean, sweet taste.

How many calories are there in Hermesetas?

In spite of their sweetening strength, the various types of Hermesetas have either an extremely low nutritive value (calorie count) or no calories at all.

The sweeteners Saccharin and Acesulfame-K are organic compounds that taste sweet but contain no calories at all. Saccharin is about 450 times sweeter than the comparable amount of sugar and Acesulfame-K around 200 times sweeter. These sweeteners are excreted from the body unused and unchanged.

This means that Hermesetas Tablets is calorie-free.

The sweetener Aspartame is made of a combination of two amino acids, L-aspartic acid and L-phenylalanine, and is ingested and broken down by the body in the same way as protein. One gram of Aspartame contains four calories. However, since Aspartame is 200 times sweeter than the comparable amount of sugar, these calories are negligible.

This means that Hermesetas Gold has almost no calories. Further information under Nutrition Information.

How long will Hermesetas keep?

Hermesetas Gold is best used within 4 years, Hermesetas Tablets within 5 years, Hermesetas Granulated Sweetener and Hermesetas Liquid within 3 years.

Do, however, take care to store these products in a dry place and to keep the lid on the jar of Hermesetas Granulated Sweetener tightly closed as this product is quite sensitive to moisture.

All Hermesetas packaging is stamped with the best-before-end date.
